Marcus Narrative

  One  rainy night my parents and I moved into a new house. I was very nervous,  and did not want to leave the city for that long .  I was walking along when  I noticed something strange.  “ Well ,Well I did not know we had this type  of  mirror,” I mumbled in confusion . 

But this was  no ordinary mirror that most people are used to.

This one was very shiny and no wonder it’s frame was made of painites , and it was extremely tough.  l  picked up the largest rock I could find and chucked it with all my force. Crash! But the mirror made the rock shatter.  I knew something was not right, I reached and gently felt the mirror  and just like that  I vanished and got sucked inside.

   Crash!... It  was the next day and I woke up from my sleep and  met an alien  who showed me around the place. He told me that there was a demon who had been wiping out his species for years.

We both agreed to go and find the demon and stop him from wiping out the alien kind. We went to search out the demon’s layer ,it was a very tough journey. The alien kept asking for water every two minutes. 

“ I need water ,what! I just gave you water like one to two minutes ago. I know, we get dehydrated  very quickly.  He

also  gobbled up half of the food in half an hour. “ Hmm I'm quite hungry,  I guess  I should  eat now and, …….wait where did all the food  go?

 ALIEN! What did I not see? 

“Hey Marcus. ” “What ?”  

“ Do mountains move like that one behind you”ground rumbles….. “WORLD   TORTOISE  !" roarrrr To be continued

 In reading Rangi group have been reading about marines reserves and kina barrens. Here is my slideshow showing how a kina barren forms when there is too much fishing and the ocean gets out of balance.

                           

Marcus discribe

Room 11 have been making descriptions of an alien spaceship or a tree house. Here is my discrption. Hope you  enjoy.

I am in my bed and I hear something that sounds like a spacecraft landing . So I rush outside to investigate, taking quiet steps to not woke up my sleepy parents. 

When I unlock the door, I see a house sized spacecraft,    which reflects the blood moon in the night sky. 

But before I can get close to it, I hear the sound of trees snapping, and see a slender shape before me.

 I ask “What are you?”. The creature doesn't answer,after that I keep  seeing other aliens and spacecraft gathering around me. I hear telepathic speech coming from the aliens.

After the speech was done. I said “what is that smoke and neon lights for?” .When I ask that exact question they made me faint with an electric net. 

I wake up to be found in one of the spacecraft. I am able to taste the apples, sandwiches and other sorts of food, because the aliens let me roam around the spacecraft. I try to pilot the spacecraft. The buttons are very stiff and the levers are super cold

I run to the leader of all the aliens and he told me “ we need to take all of the humans of the planet, because  we have seen a planet ten thousand times the mass of earth is going to collide with the earth in about 2 years. 

So do you want to help me?” “No” I muter. “Really, I will have to make you! SLICE! 

I am alive, how, its a dream.

Viking village

 I arrived on a ship and saw a village beyond the mist from the ocean.

There are old rickety and wobbly  roads, made of wooden planks. The smoke coming from the Flaming torches smelt of burning twigs and 

There are rocky mountains that look like they are from New Zealand. The glaring sun that is rising behind the mountains. Water that evaporated. Wooden houses with shields to Identify who lives there.

People are chatting in the market and cooking food. Vikings banging metal to making shields for their houses.  waves gushing into the shore.

People that are building homes for themselves, Crack,  dogs barking, Vikings blowing their horns to practice their tone.

I tasted the salt from the sea. The fish in the open air smelled weird.

The Viking village was just like a I imagined. 

Life Education

 On Wednesday and Thursday Room 11 went to the Life Education van. 

I liked the optical illusions we talked about how two people could see two thing in the same picture

Tattling and telling Was one of my favourites to we had to  think if the thing is tattling or telling.

I enjoyed the dance party the most because we knee danced to the music.

Marcus the present

 Last week on Sunday I was watching some Netflix episodes and movies.  

I was almost done with the Kong King of the apes episodes. I was at the last episode my goal 

Was to watch all the episodes and movies on Netflix.

But when I was almost done with the last episode Mum came back from work, with a big box

In her hands. She put it on the table “ mom your interrupting me” I sighed. “Won't You stop watching netflix  and open the present I gave you” she said happily.

 I opened the box and I was a puppy. I was relieved for a bit until I found out it had three legs. “ Mum seriously.”I shouted gumpily. When It was upside down it opened its eyes and saw a red ball. 

It ran under the cupboard and the puppy grabbed the ball in its jaws.

The puppy came to give me the ball. I chased after the ball. It played with the ball for a long time.

I tried to ignore the puppy but I was too cute when it was playing  with the ball.

When I was thinking about the puppy, I decided to play with the dog outside.

So I took a break from Netflix and went to play with the dog outside. “ Mum, we will be outside,” I said brightfully. I played fetch happily with the dog outside. After that I played with the dog almost every day.

Duffy Theatre Writing

Duffy theater came to school on monday. First they sang the duffy song. After that they told the title of the show . It was Duffy's bubble trouble; they also mentioned the sound table as well as the rules for the play.

 Then they started doing the show. The  first part was when Duffy was talking about the covid 19 at his aunt’s farms. When he was done talking he milked Moo Moo Molly. But Molly was sad as she thought  that duffy was milking her too hard. She tried to kick him after Scruffy pushed duffy in the chicken coop. 

As Duffy was getting chased by the chickens aunty talking to the chickens and the plants that  Scruffy uprooted. At least they managed to get all the chickens but they didn’t find Bess aunties prize winning chicken.

 Scruffy Is always sanitizing and is worried about covid. Duffy said calmly ”that was the girl that used to eat candy off the ground.” 

Duffy was online with the teacher But the teacher was on mute because she did not know how to use the computer properly. As the teacher was not on mute any more he told duffy to read an online book about duch teaspoons .

When the hangout was done Scruffy was getting chased by Duffy. Because Scruffy put duffy on snap chat. They were also fighting over the tablets. Menwall was messing around with Duffy, which made Duffy very angry 

Finally Duffy knows he had enough and throws the tablets out the window. Chloe the pig breaks  Duffy's tablet “ your one must be fine” saids Duffy. But sadly Scruffy’s tablet had fallen in the pigs' water.

Scruffy Is very sad and walks away. Duffy calls his mum to get them new tablets. After that Duffy  went for a walk to calm down his temper after throwing the tablets out the window. But 

Duffy does not see a giant hole and falls into it. By surprise he finds Bess the chicken  which makes Duffy A little bit safe. Duffy was frightened to see a pile of bones. After a few minutes of calming down after seeing the pile of bones. He and Bess fall asleep. Wall he was sleeping a Wta cradle over his head. 

Duffy yawns in the morning  with Bess. A few minutes later Duffy hears a voice “ Duffy  I’m sorry I  I said I hated you you're actually very awesome.” “ Scruffy” Duffy says in a loud voice “ Duffy look i’m sorry your very  awesome” “  thanks your awesome” “ thanks”. Scruffy went to get aunty

 to get  him  out . When Aunty was getting Duffy out she asked  3 volunteers to help get Duffy  out.

 When Duffy was out he told his Aunty about  the moa bones and about how he found Bess  “ she is still your best layer.”  Duffy  said in a happy voice.  

The lockdown over And Duffy is back to reading real books  and the teacher is teaching students again everything seemed alright except one thing ( aunties voice) “ ooh bubbles”

“Balk” “Bess what are you doing up there” “ balk”(Bess lays an egg). 

When the show  was done we asked questions about Duffy stuff. For example, where did the name Duffy come from. Finally we left the hall And we were talking about how amazing it was.

Room have been learning how to make self portraits on Google drawing. We put a lot of effort in to it. 

But we got there in the end. they also turned out great. Our class showed them at at Friday.
